Eszter Poroszlai is a Hungarian visual artist whose practice spans abstract geometric painting, embroidered cyanotype, drawing, objects and site-specific spatial installations made of taut thread.
She studied painting at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts under Zsigmond Károlyi and at the Óbuda School of Fine Arts under Gábor Roskó, after studies in Hungarian, English, aesthetics and film theory at Eötvös Loránd University. She completed the Doctoral School of Fine Arts at the University of Pécs and received her DLA in 2026.
Recent solo exhibitions include What Is Prayer (The Space Gallery, Budapest, 2026), Bound by Thread (Villa Löw-Beer, Brno, 2025) and I Hold the Line by the Hand (The Space Gallery, Budapest, 2024). Her work has been shown at the Vasarely Museum in Budapest, Museum Ritter in Waldenbuch, 193 Gallery in Paris, El Puente Gallery in Madrid and Unseen in Amsterdam, and is held in collections including the Marli Hoppe-Ritter Collection and Szombathely Gallery.
Alongside her own work she teaches — currently interaction design at Budapest Metropolitan University — and leads cyanotype workshops for adults and children.
